Dr. Wilson’s practice emphasis is in the areas of cataract surgery including the latest advanced technology intraocular lenses, medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma including minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease.
A native of Jefferson City, Missouri, Dr. Wilson graduated from Helias High School before completing his B.S. in Biological Sciences at the University of Missouri in Columbia. He attended medical school at A.T. Still University KCOM and graduated with honors.
He completed his internship as well as ophthalmology residency at the University of Missouri Columbia Mason Eye Institute, where he served as chief resident. He practiced comprehensive ophthalmology for four years in Jefferson City before returning to the University of Missouri to complete his glaucoma and anterior segment surgical fellowship. He joined Capitol Eye Care in 2022.
Dr. Wilson is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has been very active in ophthalmology research including peer reviewed publications as well as poster presentations and frequently lectures on various ophthalmology topics.
He and his wife Dr. Grace Wilson, share a beautiful daughter. In his free time Dr. Wilson enjoys the outdoors, golfing, snow skiing and following local sports teams.
